The Bird Of Paradise Folding Instructions

  1. Lay both pocket squares down on a flat surface and smooth them out.
  2. Fold both in half lengthwise to make two rectangles.
  3. Fold both rectangles in half to form two squares.
  4. Place one pocket square on the other with the open corners facing in the same direction.
  5. Fold both squares in half to make one single triangle.
  6. Form a pleat by folding the top pocket square up, then one layer of the other pocket square. Next, fold both back down.
  7. Turn the pocket square around and repeat step 6 on the other side.
  8. Grab the rubber band.
  9. Fold up to form the base and tightly wrap it around the lower part of the fold.
  10. Now fan out each of the pocket square ‘leaves’.
  11. Finally, tuck it into your jacket pocket.
